The man-machine team
for visual inspection

The testing process

2|inspect supports the inspector in the spirit of computer assisted visual inspection (CAVI). The software guides through the complete workflow: from the creation of inspection instructions, the step-by-step inspection of product variants, an automatic inspection of recurring tasks, to the professional documentation of all inspection results.

Create instructions

In the first step, the relevant perspectives of the reference product (e.g. the first sample) are captured, the points to be inspected are defined in the image and the corresponding inspection criteria are assigned to these points. The resulting inspection instruction is stored and managed in a database.

Testing

During the inspection, the inspector loads the appropriate inspection instruction from the database and is guided through the inspection process step-by-step. The software instructs the inspector on the perspectives from which he or she must inspect the test object. After the inspector has captured the right images, all inspection points are automatically extracted and displayed in tabular form. The inspection points already known to the system are automatically marked as OK/nOK. The inspector decides on the remaining inspection points and, if possible, performs a rework on the inspection object.

Documentation

The result of each inspection point is recorded and stored in the associated inspection log. From this documentation, statistics on the pass/fail results per product type, the rework frequency, and the number of manually and automatically inspected points can be displayed later on.

The learning process

The learning process is a service to optimize the testing process and can be booked in modules. Once activated, it is fully integrated into the testing process and supports the tester in his work without any additional effort.
